The practice of yoga is adapted to the physical condition and needs of its practitioners. Yin yoga (nidra, restorative, yin), for example, is gentler, focusing on deep stretching of the body, breathing and letting go. Yang yoga (vinyasa, ashtanga yoga, hatha), on the other hand, is dynamic. It is practised around sequences of asanas (Sanskrit yoga postures) to work on strengthening the muscles. What's more, each class and each exercise can be adapted to suit the yogis present and their wishes and abilities.
